Jennifer
Since 2008, I have been involved in organized four-wheeling. My journey began with a Hummer H3, currently I drive a Jeep Wrangler. My Jeep is as much of part of the package as I am. I grew up with dirt bikes, ATVs and snowmobiles, I learned all there was to know to keep them running and translated those skills in to my 4WD vehicles. With many community opportunities and environmental projects, the off-road community has fueled my passion and it has become my personal mission to put more people on the trail. To teach and inspire others to become involved in the great outdoors. Video has become a big part of my mission. It started in 2012 when my H3 was part of a local movie, then in 2015 and 2016, I provided 4x4 support for some video and photo shoots for Television commercials. I have led crews from book and YouTube creators on trails to help them map the trails. I starred in the only 4-wheel drive video that Cars and Culture completed.
My current build is a 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKU Rubicon, with 4.5in. Rubicon Express Super Flex lift, 35in. B. F. Goodrich KM3 Tires, Method Race Wheels, G2 Axle and Gears Chromoly axles, G2 front axle housing, Poison Spyder inner fenders, Poison Spyder fenders, Rugged Ridge hood latches, Bolt Lock hood lock, Poison Spyder Customs front and rear bumpers, Warn Zeon 10S Winch, Fox Factory Race Series Resivor Shox. Custom iPhone and iPad Mounts, CB radio, GMRS Radio, rock lights, Spod for wiring, custom exhaust from MBRP, Rock Jock Antirock sway bars. A custom wrap by RPM Graphics The list go on and on. This Jeep was built for 37in tires and be race ready but is a great guide rig for the trails. There are still a few projects to go. It’s ready for the races.
I also have a 2019 Ford Raptor for a tow rig and part time trail rig. There are many projects coming soon to this truck. I have custom phone mount, and center council fridge by Dometic. A cold air intake coming soon along with bumpers, winch and some lights.
I have a great passion for customizing vehicles. I have been at it since I was very young with my bicycles, and my unicycle. I built a Schwinn stick shift bicycle into a 6-speed bicycle with custom paint, and many other unique options on this bicycle. As I was older, I then customized a 1974 Vespa with a custom-made rack and various other options. Once I started driving and had my first car I would add lights, stereo systems, and various other parts. I have always loved all the auto shows so it gave me more inspiration. I then was customizing my BMW 335i and then a Hummer H2 and Hummer H3, then Jeeps and Ford Raptors came into my life. In 2020 I did some work on a SEMA build Jeep Gladiator. 2022 got me working on a Jeep Wrangler JLU with custom suspension and 42in tires. I was then part of the SEMA All-Female Bronco Build that was debuted at the 2022 SEMA Show.
I am a member of a few hundred off-road clubs all over the world so I can see what everyone does and hopefully meet many people from as many countries as I can. I am a member of the Off-Road Motor Sports Hall of Fame and of SEMA Business Women’s Network (SBN)
I am a writer and have published a couple of off-road related books you can purchase through our website. 2Low Tom and the Jeep Peep’s Earth Day Clean-up is a children’s book with the characters are various Jeeps. The goad was to inspire young people to take care of our trails. My other book is a a training book that was inspired by my teaching off=road driving classes. Off-Road Driving and Recovery. Coming in 2023 is a coffee table book called Just Jeeps with co-author Mary Byrnes of Shore Shot Photography and an Off-Road Recovery Book with co-author Fred Hawkins of Dirty Dog Off-Road. Look for them in late 2023.
My objective is to encourage women and men in a gender-neutral environment, to know their 4-wheel drive vehicles’ capabilities, accessories, and tools; and ways to use them to improve the community. By being a role model and leader at community events, trail cleanup projects and leading trail rides, I’m able to put in to action these goals. Together with my Jeep, we are easily recognized and draw attention from local news at the numerous community events we attend.
My mission is to inspire others, especially women, to advance their knowledge of their 4-wheel drive vehicles. Together we enrich our community and improve the environment.
My next project is likely a Race Ford Raptor, it will take some time, my skills and lots of collaboration along with some awesome marketing partners.
